The probability of making a positive change is inversely proportional to its size.  Major changes are tough, and the chance of success in a single attempt is low.  Small changes are always possible, and the odds of success on the first attempt are good.  I break large changes down into a series of smaller ones so the odds are in my favor.

Small changes are more important than big ones, because small ones make the big ones possible.  When small changes accumulate, the big ones naturally follow.  When I attempt small ones, I discover whether I am willing to do whatever it takes to make big ones happen.

I never feel discouraged when only small changes are possible.  I know that if I faithfully make the small ones, the big ones will do fine.  When I become an expert at managing small changes, I discover that I am an expert at managing large ones as well.  Large changes yield to the power of positive persistence.  The small challenges of life are the training ground for the great ones.  If I remain faithful in small things, I experience a tidal wave of success that carries me to destinations far beyond my early limited dreams.
