WHO WILL RUN MY MIND?
Who is going to run my mind?
Am I going to do it, or will someone else do it for me? Are my
parents and culture going to tell me what I must think?
If I let someone else do it, I
will travel to a destination that I didn’t select by a path that
I didn’t choose. I will not be living my life; I will be living
someone else’s life. I will not be living my dreams; I will be
living someone else’s dreams.
While it’s true that I can’t
control all the events of my life, I can control what I put into
my mind. I have sufficient control to shape the outcome in a
manner that reflects my goals and aspirations, and that limited
control makes all the difference.
The only way I can make my life
into what I want it to be is to run my own mind. I have an
infinite number of future lives I can live, and the way I run my
mind determines which of them it will be.
My mind belongs to me, and I
will run it in a way that takes me to my dreams.
