THE THIRD LAW OF FOCUS
The Third Law of Focus states that positive pictures create a
positive focus that drives depression from your mind.
Do you know that most of the time you think
in pictures rather than in words? If I say the word
giraffe, a picture of a giraffe pops into your mind. If I
say the word mother-in-law, you don't see a word travel across
the motion picture screen of your mind. Instead, you see a
picture of your mother-in-law in all of her glory. When
you describe an event, you attempt to create a mental picture so
other people can visualize what actually happened.
Your brain isn't very interested in
looking at words. It wants to see pictures because that's
they way the brain works best. A book without pictures is
boring in comparison with one full of colored illustrations.
The difference is that the book with pictures speaks the
language of the mind. It's difficult to capture the hearts
and minds of people using nothing but text. That's one
reason why children fall asleep while reading text books, but
the same child can read illustrated comic books for hours on end
without the slightest fatigue. The comic book speaks the
language of the mind much better than the text book.
If you want to communicate with people,
show them a picture. If you don't have a picture, tell
them about it in such a way that you paint a picture in their
mind. If they can see it in their mind, they will get the
message.
If you want to communicate with your
brain, show it a picture, and your mind will instantly receive
the message. That's why the Third Law of Focus is so
important. It recognizes that your mind thinks in pictures
whenever it can, and that pictures are the most powerful
component of the language of the mind. Positive images
work wonders, so send your mind a positive message by filling it
with pictures of your dreams.
All of my books and web sites contain
Power Graphics because I want them to speak the language of the
mind. I use the Power Graphics to create a positive focus
in my reader's mind.
When I sailed around the world on my
yacht, I took thousands of photographs that I now share with
others on my web sites. On each picture, I write a
positive message that goes straight into the viewer's mind.
If you want to fill your mind with positive images, go to my web
site PositiveGraphics.com and push your mind in a positive
direction.
